Jen and Bill met by chance. When going to college in Nebraska, Jen visited her sister in San Diego. She ended up hanging out with Bill’s roommate who lived in the same complex as her sister. When Bill came home to find Jen in his apartment and drinking his Jack Daniels, the sparks flew! They hit it off immediately. While the timing wasn’t right to start a relationship they stayed in touch until it was. Now eleven years friends and four years together they finally got to say “I do”. The two are a perfect pair with just the right amount of energy between the two. You can see and feel the chemistry between them just by being around them.

The couple got ready at the Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa. A beautiful hotel next to the water, and especially gorgeous on such a sunny California day in October—aren’t we lucky?!

Bill Proposed at Balboa Park so it was important to them we capture their first look at the same location that kicked off their plans to be husband and wife. With the wedding party there to witness the special moment Jen walked through the plaza to the spot where Bill awaited his bride. Everyone in the park was excited for the moment, and Bill’s joy was obvious when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time in her wedding gown.

Jen and Bill were married and had their reception at the BRICK, a hip wedding venue in San Diego with lots of character—a perfect choice for the pair! Located in the historic Liberty Station the venue is a large space with beautiful brick walls and lots of freedom for couples to create the wedding of their dreams.

The ceremony was light hearted and officiated by their great friend, which made it even more special.

After the ceremony Jen and Bill escaped to Sunset Cliffs for some sunset shots, to toast their nuptials, and to enjoy one another privately before the party really kicked off!

The reception was tons of fun with everyone dancing and singing along with the band! Jen and Bill’s wedding was filled with personality right down to their cake topper—one of the cutest we’ve seen!

We love sparkler exits and this wedding was no disappointment! The couple really made use of them and added neon glow sticks for the full effect!
