Some couples leave a lasting impression long before the wedding day even arrives—and Katrina and John are exactly that kind of couple. Not long after booking us, they sent a handwritten letter to us and our longtime videography partner (Danielle's husband), All Because He Asked Videography, sharing how excited they were to have us photograph their wedding. In a world of quick texts and emails, that thoughtful note meant the world. It perfectly captured who they are: kind, intentional, and full of heart. From that moment on, we knew their day would be special—and it truly was.

Katrina and John were married in a beautiful Catholic ceremony at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel in Camarillo, CA. This charming church offers such a welcoming atmosphere. Katrina wore a breathtaking gown featuring a long, dramatic train and an even longer veil that flowed gracefully behind her. For the ceremony, her dress included romantic lace detailing that felt modest and elegant — perfect for a traditional Catholic setting.

The celebration continued at Spanish Hills Club, one of Camarillo’s most gorgeous venues with its classic Southern California charm.

On entering the reception, Katrina revealed a second look. She removed the lace overlay from her ceremony gown to reveal a strapless dress that gently fell off her shoulders, showcasing her back and adding a modern, romantic feel. The couple thanked their guests and kicked off the reception by pouring a champagne tower together—such a fun and festive way to start the party!

As an ice skater, Katrina brought incredible grace to their first dance. At one point, John lifted and spun her, and her dress fanned out beautifully around them—it felt like a scene straight out of a skating performance. After sweet parent dances, including a mother daughter dance (we love when mom gets in on the action), the dance floor filled with laughter and energy. Guests enjoyed the photo booth, the 360 video booth, and celebrating all night long.

The evening ended with a glowing sparkler exit—friends and family lining up to send them off in the most magical way.
