We love Spring and Summer family sessions in California! The weather is perfect, the flowers are blooming and everything is vibrant. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to shoot the Tarrant Family Photo Session at Gum Grove Park. This Seal Beach park is a popular spot for photography because of its many backdrops, easy access, and lots of logs to climb and play on. It’s also notably beautiful right now, blooming with wild flowers after all of the rain we’ve had.

The Tarrant family are our good friends and neighbors, so we had an especially great time capturing their family in action at Gum Grove Park.   They had been wanting to take family photos for awhile, so we were happy they finally made it happen and at a perfect time. We think having a good family photo is so important. It captures your joy, freezes time, and gives you something to look back on when your kids are grown. It’s also a great way to get some authentic photos of your kids aside from their yearly, stiff school photos.  We love capturing everyone in their element, and make sure to deliver a good head shot of the kids during each of our sessions.

We can easily say this family is included in our favorite people. Everyone is fun and easy-going. The girls are beautiful, sweet and impressively doting on their younger brother, who is full of laughs and speed! They all did great in front of the camera, and for moms that can be tough, since moms are usually worrying about everyone other than themselves. We tell moms the most important thing is they enjoy the session, relax and look at the camera; let us worry about everyone else! Nicole nailed it!
